63What is Google Adsense?
You know those little ads that you see all over the internet that are just begging you to click on them? You know the ones, they usually say "Ads by Google" on the bottom? There are probably several on this page if you look around. Well how did they get there? Why would people put them on their page? Those are just the questions I'm here to answer, and also to let you know you you can make money by using them on your blog, website or hub. Keep reading to find out all about Google Adsense, how it works, and why you should use it.
AdSense is a program that Google offers that gives web publishers a chance to make money by placing ads on their sites. Google uses the keywords of the page the ads are on to display ads that are relevant to the content on the page. For example, look around on this page and you'll probably see ads related to Google AdSense, making money online, or working from home. These topics are all related and by scanning this page for the keywords and content of the page, Google knows that people that are reading this page will probably be interested in those things.
So now that the ads are on the page, whenever a visitor comes along, sees an ad that interests them and clicks on it, the publisher makes a small amount for the click. The amount they make depends on the type of ad, the keywords on the page, and the traffic of the page, but with enough clicks, it can really start adding up.
How AdSense Works
If a publisher wants to start using Google AdSense on their page, they go to https://www.google.com/adsense and sign up for a free account. After they have the account created, they will set up the various ads that they want to put on their site. The ads can consist of text ads, image ads, or a combination and in various shapes and sizes. The publisher can edit some of the formatting of the ads to better fit in to their site and when they've got them all set up, they are given a string of HTML code that they can paste in to their site wherever they want the ads to show up. The code also contains an identification number that indicates that the ads belong to their AdSense account so that any money made from the ads will be paid to them.
Now that the ads are showing up on the page its just a matter of getting visitors to click. You can't ask or tell your visitors to click on the ads as it is a violation of the AdSense terms and conditions, but with enough traffic, there will definately be users that see ads the interest thm and will click on them. After the ads on their page have accumulated more than $100 they'll receive that amount at the end of the following month.
